About
Hi! I’m Nanci.
I am a Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT), E-RYT, certified Yoga for Cancer Teacher, Accessible Yoga Certified Teacher and a Physical Therapist.
I have had the privilege to serve my “neighbors” in the community health setting for decades as a Physical Therapist. It is my mission to integrate the multi-faceted benefits of yoga with the science of movement to enhance ease in body, mind and breath and to cultivate resilience, mental clarity and relaxation while exploring our connection to ourselves and each other in a loving, light hearted way. I am happy to write on these topics as a monthly columnist for Senior Scope, a regional publication promoting health, wellness, and independent aging.
Near and dear to my heart are two wonderful organizations:
Boston Children’s Hospital where the mission includes developing and utilizing innovative models that have proven to address health disparities while providing stellar medical care and research. For several years, I have been involved in a wonderful program called Yoga Reaches Out (for Boston Children’s Hospital). To learn more about my connection from our son’s experience at BCH and this special program, check out my interview here.
American Parkinson’s Disease Association (Massachusetts Chapter), where hope and optimism lead the way for people with Parkinson’s through innovative services, programs, education, support and research.
Many thanks to my wonderful teachers who have been so instrumental to my practice and teaching including:
